Apollon Ladies F.C. is thrilled to announce the signing of American midfielder Francesca Paige Frericks. Born on May 11, 2000, Frericks brings a wealth of experience and talent to the team, having played in top divisions across Europe and the United States.
Frericks’ professional career began with KFF Vllaznia in Albania, where she made an immediate impact. In the fall of 2023, she played and started in all of the team’s Champions League matches as a holding midfielder, showcasing her skills on one of football’s biggest stages.
In the spring of 2024, Frericks moved to ACS Banat Girls in Romania. There, she led the team in minutes played and contributed significantly to their offense, finishing the season with 5 goals and 4 assists. Her performance underscored her versatility and endurance on the field.
Before turning professional, Frericks had a distinguished collegiate career in the United States. She played Division 1 soccer, with her final year at the University of Illinois Chicago. As a consistent starter, she tallied 3 goals and 2 assists, helping her team reach the MVC conference tournament.
Frericks will wear the number 23 jersey at Apollon Ladies F.C., where she aims to continue her development and contribute to the team’s success. “I am so excited to embark on this journey in Cyprus.
